FAQs – SCBJR Edition
Q: How long should my hair be for a Brazilian wax?
A: We recommend at least ¼ inch long—about the length of a grain of rice. If it’s too short, the wax can’t grip it. Too long? Don’t stress—we’ll trim if needed.
Q: What is a Half Set?
A: A half set of lash extensions means I apply extensions to about 50–70% of your natural lashes—but that doesn’t mean I only lash the ends or outer corners.
The extensions are evenly distributed across your entire lash line to create a balanced, natural look.
Half sets are:
Airy and light, not fluffy or dense
Perfect for those who want a soft enhancement without going full glam
Great for everyday wear or first-time lash clients
You’ll still get beautiful definition—just with a more subtle finish. And as always, I customize the look to your eye shape and natural lashes.
Q: Is it safe to get a lash lift while pregnant?
A: While lash lifts are not harmful during pregnancy, I do not recommend them for pregnant clients. In my experience, due to hormonal changes, the lashes often don’t lift properly or hold the curl, which can lead to disappointing results.
Q: What skincare products do you recommend after a facial?
A: After your facial, your skin will be fresh, more absorbent, and sometimes a little more sensitive—so gentle, hydrating products are key:
Cleanser: A mild, non-stripping cleanser (avoid anything with active acids or exfoliants for 2–3 days).
Moisturizer: Choose one that deeply hydrates and supports a healthy skin barrier.
SPF: Always wear broad-spectrum sunscreen daily—especially after a facial when your skin is more sensitive to UV exposure.
I carry professional-grade skincare products in the studio that I personally use and trust. If you're interested, I’m happy to guide you toward the right ones for your skin.
Not ready to purchase? No pressure at all
Q: Is aftercare really necessary after a Brazilian wax?
A: Yes—aftercare is super important for maintaining smooth skin, preventing irritation, and avoiding ingrown hairs after a Brazilian wax.
Right after waxing, your skin is more sensitive and vulnerable to bacteria, friction, and clogged pores. Skipping aftercare can lead to:
Ingrown hairs
Redness or bumps
Breakouts in the waxed area
Prolonged irritation or discomfort
We always offer a special promotion for first-time Brazilian wax clients—not just to welcome you, but to make sure you’re set up for the best results possible.
This promo gives you the chance to add professional aftercare products. Exfoliator is 23$ ingrown serum is $26.
Q: Is the Dermaplaning Facial safe for clients with PCOS?
A: Yes, dermaplaning is generally safe for clients with PCOS, and can actually be a great option for managing unwanted facial hair and improving skin texture.
Q: I’m nervous and scared of the pain for my first Brazilian wax. What can help?
A: It’s completely normal to feel nervous before your first Brazilian wax—you’re not alone, and I’m here to make it as comfortable and stress-free as possible!
Here are a few tips to help ease your nerves:
Avoid caffeine the day of—it can make you more sensitive to pain.
Take an over-the-counter pain reliever (like ibuprofen) about 30 minutes before your appointment—only if it's safe for you.
Wear loose clothing to your appointment so your skin can breathe afterward.
Most first-timers are surprised at how quick and manageable it is—and it gets easier with each visit. I’ll walk you through everything and answer any questions you have. You've got this 💪✨
